Welcome to Redenhall Deanery

Stop Press -  Look out! The sunflowers are coming!
A short while before Easter most houses in our Deanery should receive a pack of sunflower seeds, instructions on how to grow them, and what they can be used for. If you haven’t received your pack by Easter, please let me know as we would like as many people as possible to take part in our sunflower photo competition. The Deanery Service in Burston on 26th July will be a celebration of our efforts, and we would like as many “Sunflower” pictures as possible for that event. You can be as creative as you like about how you interpret the “Sunflower” theme. Entries will be showcased on this site, and the Deanery winners will also be posted here. Watch out for more details of how to get your picture posted on this page.
Happy snapping,
Gale - contact@thebenefice.co.uk

We are a group of 30 Church of England churches working together in South Norfolk, the southernmost deanery of Norwich Diocese. Our deanery stretches from Earsham in the East to South Lopham in the West. It is divided into six benefices: Upper Waveney (Bressingham, Fersfield, North Lopham, South Lopham, Roydon), Dickleburgh and The Pulhams (Dickleburgh with Shimpling, Pulham Market, Pulham St Mary, Starston, Rushall, Thelveton with Frenze), Diss (Diss), Earsham (Ditchingham with Pirnough, Hedenham, Broome, Earsham, Alburgh, Denton), Redenhall (Redenhall, Harleston with Wortwell, Needham), Scole (Scole with Thorpe Parva, Billingford, Brockdish, Thorpe Abbots), Winfarthing (Winfarthing, Shelfanger, Burston, Gissing, Tivetshall)

Most of our churches are medieval.

They are treasures of English architecture and well worth a visit.  Many are open daily.

Most churches hold services of worship on most Sundays as well as during the week.

This site gives details of the different churches as well as information about the ways in which we work together.

Delve into our site to find what you need.

We have something of interest for tourists, historians, spiritual seekers.

We offer a calendar of events, a prayer diary, short stories, prayers, poems and  homilies.

Here you can find information about weddings, baptisms (christenings) and funerals.

Here you can purchase from our webshop (helping us as you do so!)

You can even donate to our deanery using Paypal or your credit card. All our churches rely entirely on volunatry contributions, both for the day-to-day running and for the upkeep of these fabulous buildings. Any help you can give us is greatly appreciated.
